Sandhurst sits where Kent meets Sussex, along the ridge above the Rother. It's one of the further villages we cover, but at seven miles from Tenterden it's still local work for us.
The village has a good mix of old and newer houses, and the exposed position means roofs here work hard. Wind off the Levels lifts ridge tiles and drives rain under tired coverings.
