About this work

Fascias and soffits close off the roof edge, carry the gutters and keep weather and birds out of the roof space. When they rot, and timber ones eventually do, water gets into the rafter feet and the gutters start to sag.

We replace fascias, soffits and guttering in uPVC or painted timber depending on the property, and take the opportunity to check the rafter ends and eaves detail while everything is exposed.

Our approach

How we go about it.

  1. 01

    Remove and inspect

Old boards are taken off and the rafter feet checked. Any rot is cut out and repaired before new boards go on.

  2. 02

    Fit new boards

uPVC fascias and vented soffits, or new primed and painted timber on properties where that's more appropriate.

  3. 03

    Hang the guttering

New gutters set to correct falls with adequate outlets, so water actually gets to the downpipe.

  4. 04

    Tidy the eaves

Eaves felt support trays and bird combs where needed, so the roof edge is finished properly.

Why experience matters

Because we're roofers first, we look at the roof edge as part of the roof, not just as boards to be covered up. If the rafter feet need attention, we'll deal with it.

Fascias, soffits and guttering across Tenterden, Biddenden, Rolvenden and the surrounding villages.

From the trade

Questions we're often asked

uPVC or timber?

uPVC is low-maintenance and suits most houses. On period properties painted timber often looks better and we're happy to fit either.

Can you just replace the guttering?

Yes, if the fascias are sound. We'll tell you if they aren't.
