Outbuilding and flat roof built in Rolvenden
Flat Roofs
The problem
The new structure had to tie in neatly below the existing tiled roof and old clad elevation, while keeping an open front for access and giving the flat roof enough fall to drain properly.
Our approach
A timber frame on posts, clad in black feather-edge to match the existing building, with a decked flat roof laid to fall and finished in mineral felt with dressed edges.
The result
A dry, open-fronted store that reads as part of the original building, with a clean felt flat roof draining away from the tiled elevation.
